Mark Crilley
UNIT 1
Master Artist: Leonardo Da Vinci
Current Artist: Mark Crilley
I created smoothly blended drawings taken inspiration from Mark Crilley's style of drawing. I used Da Vinci's for reference of highlight styles.

UNIT 2
Master Artist: Winslow Homer
Current Artist: Prashant Sarkar
I tried using more of a dull color scheme for the background, as WInslow Homer often would use. I also took inspiration for foliage and shapes of leaf patterns, as Prashant Sarkar had more of a blocky but beautiful style.

UNIT 3
Master Artist: George Stubbs
Current Artist: Kathrin Guenther
Both George Stubbs and Kathrin Guenther are animal portrait artists. George usually would draw horses, and Kathrin sticks to mostly dogs, however, both artists are very detailed in their work with the fur/hair in their drawings, so I wanted to capture that as well.

UNIT 4
Master Artist: Claude Monet
Current Artist: Darien Bogart
Monet has a very blotchy style, the artwork itself is very clean, but the strokes of paint make it seem like there is not much detail, but when you look at it from afar it looks very detailed. I wanted the field of blue/purple flowers to use this style. Darien Bogart also has a sort of blotchy style, but his is a bit more easy to see from a closer perspective. He uses very bright colors, so I wanted to use that in the whole painting.

UNIT 5
Master Artist: Roy Lichtenstein
Current Artist: Susan Williams
I took most of my inspiration from Susan Williams, how she uses her brushes and colors, very loose with light colored skies. However, I used Roy Lichtenstein as a reference for the tree. I thought that having really bold lines on the tree compared to the background, as well as having bright pink would make the tree stand out very well.

UNIT 6
Master Artist: Rene Magritte
Current Artist: sofia_watercolor
This painting is watercolor, I was inspired by someone I follow on instagram (sofia_watercolor). They paint a lot of natural scenery and I got inspired to do something that had to do with it. I also needed an idea for visual puns, so I looked toward Rene Magritte for inspiration. I didn't really think of anything I liked until I looked back at Sofia's work. A lot of her work has a "cottagecore" vibe (nature surroundings, natural beauty, elves.. etc.), so I ended up using that exact word!

UNIT 7
Master Artist: George Bellows
Current Artist: eddiemendozart
This drawing is of a character that my sister made up, named Feng. He was a half orc-half elf barbarian. Here, he picks up a silver-blue long sword, and it transfers him to his inner mind, Both my reference artists had very different styles, and also very detailed backgrounds, but for this, I wanted to do something more simple, as I didn't think Feng would be the kind of person to think about multiple things at once. He was very straightforward, and focused on one thing at a time. I tried to make the character itself detailed, as with my artists.
