For this project, I decided to do the "beyond borders", since I hadn't done it last year. I honestly didn't really know what I wanted to do at first so I just started doodling in my sketchbook for ideas and I suddenly got the urge to draw a Japanese inspired piece. I also was in the mood to draw in a more "cartoon" or "anime" style, so I did. I think if I were to do it over again, however, I would definitely do it in a more traditional Japanese style, sort of like an ink painting. I do like how it turned out but there's a lot about the style that I was disappointed with.
